The first Kinetic Martial Arts club opened its doors on Saturday 2nd April 2005 in a church hall in the Sydney suburb of Cronulla. The founder Trent Madsen started the club because of his limitless passion for the martial arts. He wanted to share that passion and the benefits of marital arts training, and at the time he had no intention of making a career or even a profit from his marital arts club. He cared very much about his students development and with this care he focused on: the techniques of teaching, syllabus formation, customer service procedures and student management systems. It is the combination of these systems that resulted in continual and ongoing growth of Kinetic Martial Arts.
Technique
In martial arts, technique is everything. But we learn and practice more than just the techniques of martial arts. There is also a technique to: answering that first call of a prospective student, to helping someone learn their first skill, to helping someone progress to that next level. These are what others refer to as business systems. For us they are just additional techniques that we learn and then use to run our clubs.

It’s this kind of club to club integrity that allows our clubs to work together in ways that are very unique. We hold multiple inter-club events throughout the year & each club contributes in it’s own way. This translates to real benefits for our members too, giving them access to a wider range of training options and instructors. They get to visit and train at other Kinetic clubs in their area and even whilst they’re on holiday to keep them interested, engaged and growing.
