Establishing Young Engineers – Canberra has been a dream come true for me and my partner after settling down in Australia. We were in search of a business opportunity to pursue after we moved to Canberra and came across E2 Young Engineers Australia. Inspired by the positive impact a similar program had on our son’s STEM education while we were in Dubai, we felt strongly about bringing this program to ACT. A little that we knew just a simple inquiry sent to the Young Engineers Master Franchisees could become such a fruitful and a meaningful endeavour for our family. When we inquired to become franchise owners of Young Engineers, the Master Franchisees provided us with enormous amount of support to start this journey. As first time business owners we were taking extra measures to understand the business model, franchise contracts and the market opportunities that may determine the success of this business. We must commend the Master Franchisees for many discussions they had with us to take us through different aspects of the business and willing to take the time and effort to negotiate terms mutually beneficial for both parties. We successfully launched our Young Engineers-Canberra in mid of 2019. At this moment of time we couldn’t have imagined a situation where we would face a pandemic that will make the world stop. While we were faced with an unprecedented situation with lockdowns, school closures and etc, as a new business owner we found ourselves in the most unfortunate circumstances not being able to conduct any of our programs. This moment was a true testament to the ethical business practices and support E2 Young Engineers Australia gave us to manage our business and survive in these uncertain circumstances. As a result, today, we proudly can say that we have become a successful franchise in Canberra with a profitable income providing STEM programs to children adored by many schools and parents in the ACT. We grew from 5 students to 250 students a term even in a pandemic. The continuous support in business, guidance in managing staff and general operations, providing different business tools to manage daily operations and most of all strategic thinking of the Master Franchisees definitely have contributed to success we have achieved so far.
