Camy’s Chargrill Chicken signs first franchise partner in New South Wales

Camy's Chargrill Chicken is a quick-service restaurant delivering its passion for food through chargrill and delicious artisan products. They also provide local tailored catering.
Camy’s opened its first restaurant located in Mascot in 2016, followed by Surry Hills and Green Square. They will now be opening a brand new restaurant at St Leonards, New South Wales, after signing up their first franchisee.
Cameron Khilla, the founder and CEO of Camy’s Chargrill Chicken who began his brand in 2016, states “It has been a unique past few years with the pandemic affecting all businesses. But whilst this was the case, we decided to launch our franchise model in September 2021. Camy’s is now ecstatic to welcome our first franchisee in May 2022. We warmly welcome Josh into the Camy’s family and could not have asked for a better representative and addition to our family brand. I believe he is a fantastic fit, with his passion for the food industry, bright attitude, happy, and exceptional work ethic. We have no doubt he will only enhance Camy’s and its future growth, as we continue to expand in the hospitality industry, particularly in New South Wales. I would like to officially and cheerfully welcome Josh to the family and wish him all the success in his brand new franchise journey”.
Camy’s Chargrill Chicken is also investing in technology to further innovate its brand. They have just acquired self-ordering monitors which brings down wage costs and helps speed up orders. In the first week, the uptake of customers using the monitors was 30%, and the brand plans for uptake to become 50-60%.
The fast-food and takeaway food industry is valued at $20.2 billion in 2020-2021, and is projected to reach $21.9 billion by 2025-2026, expected to grow at 1.6% over the next 5 years.
Camy’s uses only free-range Lilydale chicken in their menu, ensuring their chargrill chicken is raised and cared for on Lilydale farms by Lilydale farmers, with no antibiotics, no added hormones and no added growth promotants.
"Camy’s is such an exciting franchise business that brings modern systems, marketing and operational excellence to a sector in the food industry which is typically fractured and underdeveloped. Helping Cameron and Camy’s secure their first franchisee has been very enjoyable and we are excited about the growth of the brand over the coming years. We are looking to talk to hard working passionate people who can share in the fantastic model Cameron has created and come along on the journey!" - James Young Head of Franchise Sales and Development at DC Strategy
DC Strategy is their end-to-end partner in Australia, New Zealand, and also Asia with their Hong Kong office supporting this next phase of growth.
Business opportunities are available in New South Wales and Queensland.
