In 2008, I was looking to buy a business in a growth industry that I could focus on ‘working on’ as opposed to ‘working in’. Fernwood was continuing to experience benefits of being the first mover into the women’s fitness market and was enjoying a strong period of growth, when an opportunity at Fernwood Chirnside Park presented itself. We bought what would be the first of our five clubs. With the assistance of Fernwood, we grew our membership to the highest in Australia. We saw the potential to expand further, and acquired an additional three clubs in 2012, 2013 and 2014. Off the back of those successes, we opened a brandnew club in Craigieburn in 2019.

The team at NSO guides you through every step and is always a phone call away. I have learned everything from online webinars, in-club trainings and ongoing support from the national office. From initial setup to the ongoing support, the team at NSO helps you continually grow your business and in-club operations. I love what I do for work and I’m always excited to implement new plans, strategies and services, such as FIIT30, the Fernwood App, challenges, marketing strategies to drive sales and more. I have now bought my second club, two years since I joined the Fernwood family. I absolutely love being associated with this amazing brand.

Anton and I first purchased our Fernwood Liverpool club back in September 2013, and we’ve never looked back. We were amazed at our level of growth, both financially and emotionally. We continued to grow and purchase more Fernwood clubs, which offered us financial freedom to travel every year, purchase investment properties, and even a new home. We are now looking at purchasing commercial premises for Fernwood locations. We love what we do, and all that comes with it.
