CANBERRA, 19 October 2026 — V.I.P. Home Services co-founder and Director Rose Vis has been inducted into the Franchise Council of Australia (FCA) Hall of Fame for 2026, recognising her extraordinary contribution to Australian franchising and the development of one of the country’s most established home services franchise networks.
The induction, held at Parliament House in Canberra on 19 October 2026, celebrates more than five decades of commitment to V.I.P., its franchisees and the broader franchising sector, acknowledging Rose’s pivotal role in building a business that has continued to evolve through significant economic, technological and industry change.
Established in Adelaide in 1972 and incorporated in 1979, V.I.P. Home Services became Australia’s first home services company to franchise. From its early beginnings, Rose worked alongside co-founder Bill Vis to build the foundations of the business, taking on responsibilities spanning administration, accounts, customer enquiries, public relations, human resources and franchise support as the organisation expanded.
While Bill drove many of the business’s innovative ideas, Rose played an equally important role in bringing those ideas to life, helping franchisees understand and embrace change while ensuring they felt supported throughout the journey.
Her contribution extended well beyond the day-to-day running of the business. Rose helped establish the systems and support structures that enabled V.I.P. to grow, from personally managing incoming customer enquiries and allocating leads from as early as 6 am, to developing training manuals and area management systems. She also helped guide franchisees through major operational advancements, including computerised systems introduced in 1981, new equipment to improve productivity, pagers to accelerate customer responses and the expansion of services under the V.I.P. brand.
