MasterFix heads interstate, launches national skills academy
Victorian-based property maintenance and home renovation business MasterFix is heading to the ACT and New South Wales. The interstate expansion is the first step in the brand’s national growth strategy.
CEO Wayne Morris said there is demand for reliable, consistent and accountable tradespeople.
“By expanding into ACT and NSW we are meeting that need while giving skilled tradespeople and handymen a structured pathway to build a profitable business under the MasterFix brand,” he said.
The group, which operates a mix of corporate teams and franchisees, reported a strong uplift in enquiries this year.
“With strong demand, a structured franchise model and a national training platform now in place, we see a clear pathway to becoming Australia’s most trusted name in small renovations and property maintenance,” Morris said.
MasterFix Academy addresses workforce shortages
The company has launched a national training and capability platform designed to boost the professionalism of the handyman industry.
“The MasterFix Academy equips our network with real-world, practical skills, predictable job standards and a clear understanding of how to deliver work at the level our clients expect. It also ensures consumers receive a consistent experience regardless of location,” Morris said.
The academy is designed to support new franchisees, upskill subcontractors and provide career pathways for mature entrants. It provides structured training in technical skills and small business operations.
MasterFix expects to announce additional franchise territories and academy cohort intakes early in the new year.
