Before we even opened our first store more than ten years ago, we cared about what Australians thought. Prior to opening your Soul Origin store, all new Franchise Partners complete the comprehensive initial six-week training program.You will be trained by experienced in-store and support centre team members. Our training consists of a mix of theoretical, digital and practical training. You will be required to travel to Sydney for your training induction and management workshop. This will be held in the Soul Origin Support Centre and a training store in Sydney. This will ensure you will learn everything you need to know to operate and grow your business.

Franchise Fee: $60,000 (plus GST)
Initial Training Fee: The training fee is $15,000 (plus GST) and includes initial training plus support from our New Store Opening team both pre and post opening.
Store fit out and set up costs: Typically, a Soul Origin store including fit out costs approximately $300,000 to $450,000 (plus GST). These costs include equipment, design, council site fees, POS systems, all fixed electrical and other appliances, all non-fixed items, signage, menu, artwork and wall displays, software and legal fees. These costs exclude the one-off Franchise and the Initial Training fees. Note: the investment required for the store fit out will vary depending on the size and layout of the location secured.
Ongoing Royalty/ Franchise Management Fee: 9% of weekly NET sales is payable to Soul Origin on an ongoing basis.
Additional Costs: Additional costs are associated with the rental or lease of the selected site. The franchise partner is expected to occupy the premises and cover all associated costs and is required to take out a bank guarantee to cover financial obligations of the lease.
Franchise partners should consider the costs associated with obtaining the following mandatory insurances: Public Liability, Work Cover, Disability Insurance and Comprehensive Insurance - all of which are standard requirements for every Australian business operator.
Other costs include working capital for the first few months, legal costs, plus any required license fees.

Soul Origin On International Women's Day
At Soul Origin we’re lucky to have many strong, intelligent female franchise partners leading the way. This International Women’s Day we want to celebrate some of the amazing women behind the Soul Origin brand. So we sat down with two of our most influential female Franchise Partners who are paving the way for women in franchising. Read on to find out more about their experience in becoming franchise partners and what motivates them day to day!
Lisa Mileto- Franchise Partner for Macarthur Soul Origin
Lisa Mileto is a multi-site franchise partner owning two Soul Origin stores located in Macarthur shopping centre. For anyone who has visited Macarthur they will definitely know Lisa. She has well and truly become part of the community with her positive and fun-loving attitude for work. Joining the Soul Origin family 5 years ago she fondly speaks of Soul Origin being: “A fresh and exciting brand with their menu and coffee qualities leading within the franchisee industry. I saw a lot of room for growth within the franchise and the support structure from Soul Support Centre Team. This allowed me to grow as a business owner, build an amazing team and concentrate on improving my sales and business. Whilst also allowing me to use my own ideas and past experiences.”
International Women’s Day acts as a reminder for Lisa about her own and her team’s achievements while being part of the Soul Origin family.
According to Lisa: “I am surrounded by strong, successful women. I couldn’t be prouder of the achievements I see daily by the women in my life, and they inspire me to continue to grow and strive for success every day.”
When asked what her advice is for women thinking about owning their own Soul Origin store. She advised to have confidence and back yourself. We couldn’t think of better advice ourselves, as women we need to uplift and empower women around us to help each other succeed.
Janelle Foster- Franchise Partner for Salamander Bay Soul Origin
Initially joining Soul Origin Salamander Bay as a Store Manager, Janelle couldn’t get enough of Soul Origin and soon became the Franchise Partner. We absolutely love working closely with Janelle. She always brings so much positivity to her role and is a bright light for not only her team in-store, but for the Support Centre team too.
She describes her Soul Origin journey as a natural progression to Franchise Partner.
This progression was greatly supported by the team at the Support Office and as Janelle describes it: “Soul Origin is more than just a franchise opportunity. It is a strong, supportive family. I never feel like I’m in it alone. The brand is fresh and proactive, the management from the very top are approachable and encouraging.”
Janelle see’s International Women’s Day, as a “celebration of women’s ability to not only accomplish but excel at whatever they put their minds to.”
